This Privacy Policy explains how Techarius Enterprise (Co. Reg. No. 126580) (“WhatsBox”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use WhatsBox (the “Service”).

1) Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Our websites and landing pages
  • The WhatsBox app/dashboard
  • Our APIs and related services

If you are using WhatsBox for business messaging, you may be processing personal data of your customers. In that case, you are typically the “controller” and WhatsBox is a “processor” (see the optional DPA).

2) Information we collect

A) Account and profile information

  • Name, email, password (hashed), organization details
  • Billing details (handled by payment processors; we may receive limited billing metadata)

B) WhatsApp and messaging data (when you connect WhatsApp Business API)

Depending on your configuration, we may process:

  • WhatsApp identifiers (e.g., phone numbers, WABA IDs), contact identifiers
  • Message content you send/receive via the Service
  • Message metadata (timestamps, delivery/read status, template IDs)
  • Conversation events and automation logs

C) Templates and campaign content

  • WhatsApp templates you create/store
  • Campaign templates and campaign configurations

D) AI chatbot inputs and outputs (if enabled)

  • Messages and context you submit to AI features
  • AI-generated replies, routing decisions, and tool outputs

E) Usage, analytics, and device data

  • IP address, browser/device information
  • Log data, feature usage, performance metrics
  • Cookies/trackers (see Cookies section below)

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Deliver messages, apply automations, and power templates/campaign workflows
  • Provide AI auto-reply/chatbot functionality (if enabled)
  • Secure accounts, prevent abuse and spam, and enforce policies
  • Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud
  • Improve the Service, analytics, and product development
  • Comply with legal obligations

4) Legal bases (if applicable)

Where required (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR), we rely on:

  • Contract necessity (to provide the Service)
  • Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement)
  • Consent (cookies/trackers; and your end-user messaging consent is your responsibility)

  • WhatsApp Business API providers / partners required to deliver messages

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense.

Your data may be processed in countries different from where you live. We implement appropriate safeguards where required (e.g., contractual protections).

7) Data retention

We retain information only as long as needed for:

  • Providing the Service
  • Legal, accounting, and security requirements

Retention periods depend on data type (e.g., logs vs. messages). You can request deletion subject to legal obligations.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for secure access and use of your account.
